Treating damaged or infected roots to eliminate pain.
When a nerve root that’s located inside your tooth becomes damaged,
infected or abscessed, it must be removed. A damaged or infected root
can cause you debilitating throbbing tooth pain. Removing the root
eliminates the tooth pain immediately.
First, we gently remove the infected or inflamed root and then
carefully shape and sterilize the inside of the canal. We use an X-rays
or an apex locator to find the precise location of the root tip. Then we
fill and seal the canal with a biocompatible material known as
gutta-percha.
Eliminating your pain, improving your comfort.
For your comfort, we also use quiet handpieces that produce minimum
vibration. We also do everything possible to preserve your tooth’s
structure and provide more precise treatment to avoid future problems.
Dentures are a replacement for missing teeth that can be removed and
put back into your mouth as you please. Depending on each individual
patient case, they may receive full or partial dentures. Full dentures
are used when all of the natural teeth have been removed from the mouth
and replaced with a full set of dentures. There are two types of full
dentures.
Conventional Full Dentures – This is when all the
teeth are removed and the tissue is given time to heal before the
dentures are placed. It could take a few months for the gum tissue to
heal completely, and during this time you will be without teeth.
Immediate Full Dentures – Prior to having your teeth
removed, we take measurements and have dentures fitted for your mouth.
After removing the teeth, the dentures are immediately placed in your
mouth. The benefit is that you do not have to spend any time without
teeth. You will, however, need to have a follow-up visit to refit your
dentures because the jawbone will slightly change shape as your mouth
heals. The dentures will need to be tightened after the jawbone has
healed.
Partial Dentures – When several teeth have been
lost, one of the least costly solutions to fill the gap is a partial
denture. This specially made removable appliance is designed to replace
your missing teeth and restore your bite function throughout the day.
Like conventional full dentures, partial dentures must be taken out
before bedtime daily.
The secret to regaining your Total smile.
When you have tooth decay, the decay must be removed and the tooth
disinfected and filled to restore it to its healthy state. That’s what
basic restorative dentistry is all about – restoring your individual
teeth to health. But it’s also about reconstructing your smile on an
even larger scale after an accident or illness.
Dental Crowns – A crown is a permanent covering that
fits over an original tooth that is either decayed, damaged or cracked.
Dental crowns are made of a variety of different materials such as
porcelain, gold, acrylic resin or a mix of these materials. Porcelain
crowns generally have the most natural appearance.
Dental Bridges – A bridge is a dental device that
fills a space where a tooth has been lost. A bridge may be necessary to
prevent shifting of the teeth that can lead to bite problems
(malocclusion), jaw problems and periodontal disease. Dental bridges
safeguard the integrity of existing teeth and help maintain a healthy,
vibrant, total smile.
Bonding – Commonly known as white
fillings or tooth-colored fillings, we match the color of the filling to
the color of the tooth and use state-of-the-art bonding systems affix
them in place. This is done in order to replace tooth structure that is
missing due to decay or to improve the appearance of damaged or chipped
front teeth.
Root Canals – Toothaches are often caused when tooth
decay reaches into living nerve roots inside teeth. The dead or dying
root must be removed and replaced with biocompatible filler material.
Total Care implant dentistry:
The secret to smiling with confidence.
Smile and the world smiles with you. But if you suffer from tooth
loss, smiling can be a terrible experience. You tend to hide your teeth
from others, hoping that they won’t notice the gaps in your smile.
Social situations may be embarrassing as you wonder if everyone is
staring at your mouth. Tooth loss can be embarrassing, and most people
don’t know how easy it is to fix.
Look in the mirror and imagine you have a full, glistening smile. You
look and feel at least 10 years younger. With the latest cosmetic
implant dentistry technologies, you don’t have to imagine anymore. A
dental implant is simply a metal screw that holds a false tooth in
place.
